The war between Israel and Hamas has now lasted 100 days. 132 hostages are still missing. Israelis gathered on Sunday, January 14, in a sign of support.

They gather around a color, yellow, that of the Israeli hostages, absent for 100 days. Michal Lobanov is the wife of one of them, seven months pregnant. “Every day for me is the same, every day I wake up and it’s October 7th again, I need him to come home now.”, she says. Stores across the country lowered the curtain during the morning of Sunday, January 14, for 100 minutes of solidarity with the hostages and their families.

Families on the edge of Gaza

To defy captivity, families went to the edge of the Gaza Strip. They addressed their hostages with powerful loudspeakers: “We are here, we are so close to you, we love you so much“. Some are asking the Israeli government to stop the fighting for the time of a new negotiation. In the sky, 100 yellow balloons were released, as a symbol of hope.
