Thursday October 12, an Air France flight took off from Tel Aviv in Israel to reach France. French nationals selected to be repatriated say they are relieved.

Leaving Israel to escape the war… A French family has made it their priority. For eight years, these parents and their four children lived in the north of the country. They managed to board together on Thursday October 12. For the mother, “It’s a great relief to be close to [sa] family”. Not everyone was so lucky. Some families had to separate. The 380 passengers on the Air France flight were chosen by the embassy and consulate. Priority was given to the most vulnerable people, such as a 93-year-old French woman.

Several flights planned

A couple of tourists are also stuck. Their return flight on Tuesday was canceled. Since then, they have both tried to contact their airline, without success. Despite their health problems, they remain stuck in Tel Aviv (Israel) at their expense. Some were able to board one of the rare commercial flights between Tel Aviv and Paris. A family is finally reunited with their loved ones, after a long and difficult wait. Friday and Saturday, several special flights are planned to continue to repatriate French nationals who wish to do so.
