(New York) The New York Stock Exchange got off to a flying start on Thursday, with the technology sector riding the euphoria that gripped the markets after brilliant results from AI chip giant Nvidia.
The NASDAQ index, with its strong technological coloring, climbed 1.90% while the stock of Nvidia, the fifth largest capitalization on the market, soared by more than 12%. The broader S&P 500 index gained 1.27% and the Dow Jones +0.63% a few minutes after the opening.
