(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened higher on Friday, resisting the false note of Amazon, whose results disappointed, and showing a strength that appeals to investors.

In early trading, the Dow Jones gained 1.26%, the NASDAQ index rose 0.66% and the broader S&P 500 index gained 0.73%.
