Relying on a sleek, yet effective design that recalls its Scandinavian identity, this newcomer arrives with an approach based on dynamism. It relies on dimensions greater than those of the Volvo XC60 by 20 cm in length while being 28 cm smaller, which ensures a sportier presentation.
Built on an exclusive electric chassis, the Polestar 3 will have 489 hp or 517 hp in reserve to bring its sporty design to life. A 111 kWh battery provides energy storage and can be recharged at a power of up to 270 kW. Interestingly, it will be able to tow a maximum load of 1588 kg.
In the underbody, Polestar uses air springs lined with ZF adaptive dampers. A double wishbone setup has been retained up front and a 50:50 weight distribution backs it all up.
The Polestar 3 will go on sale from the second quarter of 2023 at a starting price of $97,800, which will come down once cheaper liveries are offered.
