Volodymyr Zelensky oversees the loading of grain from a Turkish ship

He wanted to come and supervise the operation in person on Friday, July 29. In the port of Chornomorsk (Ukraine), near Odessa (Ukraine), President Volodymyr Zelensky posed proudly in front of a Turkish ship full of grain. “This is the first ship that has been loaded since the beginning of the war. (…) This means that the port has started to work. The most important thing for us is that the port is working, that people are working”explains Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president is on the ground because he knows that beyond the grain, this ship also carries a message. “Operations will start soon, and when it starts, everyone will assume their responsibilities and their guarantees. The ships and the people will be safe. These people are very important, they are risking their lives today, but anything can happen. always degenerate, because we know who we are dealing with”, recalls the Ukrainian president. A total of 17 boats filled with 600,000 tonnes of grain are ready to leave Ukraine. They should leave in the next few days.
