Villeray: a car takes the cycle path for a traffic lane

A car was seen driving on one of the bike paths that make up the Montreal Express Bike Network (REV), near Villeray.

The vehicle was caught in the act by a passerby who was on the sidewalk, according to a video shared Sunday evening on Reddit.

The motorist at the wheel was then traveling on the cycle lane which is clearly identified by its markings on the ground, where a bicycle is represented. The track is also separated from the authorized lane by parked cars and blue bollards.

According to the comments under the post, it could be the track that is on rue Lajeunesse.

No cyclist was in the lane at the time.

The REV is a network made up of protected routes. The route also allows cyclists to move quickly.

The City had not yet reacted at the time of writing these lines.
