Club illico and Vrai are merging to become a single platform. Called illico+, this new subscription video-on-demand service will go live on October 23.
Videotron announced the news on Tuesday. There will be no price change for current customers, the company tells us. For future customers who want to subscribe to illico+, prices will be revealed “in due course,” it says.
Launched in 2013, Club illico offers works of fiction (Victor Lessard, Raspberry time, Megantic), while Vrai, created in 2021, favors lifestyle, documentary and entertainment content (With no plan, Witness CF, The great well-cooked ComediHa!).
In a press release, Videotron listed some series that will be available on illico+ starting October 23. Among them, we should mention The collectiona drama directed by Podz (19-2) starring Claude Legault, Caroline Néron and Guy Nadon, The calla new offering from Luc Dionne (District 31) inspired by the trial of former Hells Angels leader Maurice “Mom” Boucher, and Crowsa police thriller with Pascale Bussières and Mylène Mackay.
