Leticia Jimenez is ready to hatch and conquer the planet, she who sings in French, English and Spanish.
After taking part in 2016, at the age of 11, in The Junior Voice – she was a finalist on Marie-Mai’s team – then in 2019 at The Voice Kidsin France, it now joins the 10e season of The voice with the ambition of officially launching his career as a performer.

She did not arrive at The voice empty-handed. Not only does she have an impressive voice, but she was able to draw on her past experiences in front of the cameras.
“As this was my third experience, it gave me a different perspective because I knew what to expect. There was less stress and I was more in control,” she told the QMI Agency.
Leticia, who studies human sciences at CEGEP, joined Corneille’s team after singing Story of a loveby Dalida.
She was spoiled for choice in terms of teams, all the coaches having rotated their red chairs practically at the same time. They highlighted his vocal technique and “embodied” interpretation.

The young woman was accompanied by her family, including her maternal grandfather, who was very moved by her choice of song, which well represents his love for the woman of his life, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has lived since years in CHSLD.
“It made him very emotional, because it was like he saw my grandmother in me. I look like her physically when she was young.”
The man wore a promotional bracelet for the song Invincible, which Leticia launched in 2018. He had never removed it in six years, even when he had to go under the knife and the medical team had to sterilize the lucky object he refused to remove . However, as soon as she integrated The voicehis grandfather was finally able to remove the bracelet at the end of his performance, a symbolic gesture.
“I’ll have to find another lucky charm with him,” Leticia said, smiling.

Her grandfather, who was a pianist among other things, inspired her a lot, as did her grandmother who was a dancer and a lover of poetry. To wink at them, Leticia has also included a verse in Spanish in her rereading of Dalida’s play.
“It’s a great tool for me, all this cultural baggage that follows me in music,” said the 19-year-old young woman in an interview with the QMI Agency.
The one who started taking singing lessons at the age of 4 now aspires, like one of her favorite singers, Rosalía, to combine flamenco and pop music.
“I want to make flamenco very modern and include French, because Rosalía only sings in Spanish,” said Leticia, who wants to share all her cultural wealth, she who carries Quebec and Spain within her.
To find her own sound, she is helped by Kevin Bazinet, who won the third season of The voice, and Sonny Black. She already has a few songs available, including the most recent, Sola in the club.
No boundaries
Leticia Jimenez knows no boundaries. “I want to start in Quebec, because that’s where I live and that’s my world, but if it has to go further, “sky’s the limit” for me.”
“I dream of a career! I aspire to that. I know it’s a difficult world, it’s not easy to get there, but I would like to make a living from my music. My grandmother always told me: “you are going to be a great singer”. Sometimes I think about that and it encourages me to continue,” added the one who writes every morning and every evening, especially poetry, in addition to dancing.
