Some have not finished cursing the sky, the rain and the bad weather of the last hours which have caused damage in Béarn. Others, on the contrary, take advantage of the elements to have fun this Saturday morning. After the overflows, the still swollen rivers began to recede, and on the Gave de Pau in particular, there were kayakers very happy to be able to enjoy this natural playground in optimal conditions.

Nino, Quentin and Louis, three friends of the Pau Canöe Kayak Club Universitaire did not hesitate this Saturday morning : “When we saw the snow in the mountains leaving in water we said to ourselves it is the moment!“,”we have a conversation on social networks, we met at the Pont d’Espagne to make the descent“,”This is the kiff!“. The problem is that even if the rain has stopped and the weather has softened, after long minutes in the water it is still cold:”We are equipped for, and we are used to it, but after a while it gets very cold anyway … but it’s worth it!“
