Torrential storms affected the Tarn department, a gust of 130 km/ha was recorded in Tonnerre, in Yonne.
A sequoia collapsed in Augé, in Deux-Sèvres, after being struck by lightning on Saturday, June 29. On the same day, torrential storms hit the Tarn department, “where we recorded 61 mm in one hour in Dourgne (81), 56 mm in one hour in Montredon (81) and 66.6 mm in three hours at the same place. In Castres we recorded 87 km/h in gusts”reported Météo-France.
“In Yonne, a gust of 130 km/ha was recorded in Tonnerre. In Aube, a gust of 107 km/ha was recorded in Troyes (Aube). Large hailstones were observed in Meuse. Heavy rainfall affected Haute-Marne and Meuse with peaks exceeding 60 mm in a few hours.”according to the weather service.
Météo-France has lifted the orange storm alert for all departments in its latest forecast bulletin published during the night from Saturday to Sunday.
