Threats, attacks, tags in front of their homes designating them as “foreign agents”: the demonstrators denounce a cold war climate in this small Republic of the Caucasus where 80% of the inhabitants dream of their country joining Europe.
A dream that has become even more pressing since the war in Ukraine. Because the Russians are already there: every day, Luda, 68, observes them through binoculars from the steps of her house. Since the 2008 war, Putin’s army has occupied 20% of Georgia.
