Vegetables & Co, organic at Combrand

It all started in 2010 with the installation of the first two partners. They don’t come from the farming community at all, but from an automotive design office. After having found, not without difficulty, 5 hectares of land to settle in, they will use their professional experience to revolutionize their way of working.
They set up in their market gardening the Lean method which makes it possible to achieve performance, for example by reducing unnecessary gestures, by working with both hands at the same time, by optimizing movement. In short, by thinking before starting to work.
The method is incredibly effective. They have managed to have 40-hour weeks of work, whereas in market gardening we tend to work at 60 hours, and even to take 10 weeks of leave each.

Légumes & Co organizes a market every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with 25 producers on the farm, which attracts around 150 customers each time. The ambition is to enlarge the building that hosts this market to bring in other producers, food-trucks who will cook local products and artists to animate the market. Légumes & Co also does the Bressuire market every Saturday morning.
