Vanille a “full-fledged” artist on the banks of the Dordogne in Gironde

Discreet like a summer breeze, Vanille arrived early for this live, a tall figure wrapped up, impatient and yet very calm, to deliver her music, her lyrics, and her determination to be her, with her sunny energy. Vanille is also a first name that recalls the scent of ice cream in summer and orchids from Mexico, the West Indies and Polynesia. About interbreeding, Vanille has in her cultural heritage a Guadeloupean grandmother, and Corsican roots, from which she holds the very strong sense of the tribe.

After her beginnings to scour cafés concerts and bars to sing, the guitar slung over her shoulder, the French musician has gained confidence thanks to her first album, Amazona. If she is proud of it, she had not yet succeeded in completely imposing her desire for purity, both in terms of textures and arrangements. In addition, the disc presented songs written sometimes a very long time ago. The new album, In its own right, was intended to be “a small part of life condensed in emotions over 11 tracks”.

I only write about what I feel or what my loved ones are going through, in any case from a very personal experience

From the opening “In its own right”, Vanille affirms its identity, so we leave you in intimacy with this complete artist, a great reader, inspired by life stories, easily letting her heart speak through a mix of words and sounds. You listen to Vanille express herself on vocals and on the guitar, her favorite instrument.

Thank you Vanille for this warm trip and see you soon, perhaps while admiring the tidal bore on the Dordogne.
