Here are some very useful tips to minimize the risks associated with unwanted visits to your homes during the holidays:
1 – What should you do?
Before leaving, you must report to the gendarmerie brigade of your home, your departure on vacation. During your absence, surveillance patrols will be carried out, day and night, weekdays and weekends, in order to deter any individual from attempting to break into your home.
2 – A few essentials before leaving:
– Do not indicate your dates of departure on leave on social networks.
– Do not leave mail too long in your mailbox. A trusted person must be able, during these holidays, to pick up the mail for you so as not to arouse suspicion by a box overflowing with letters, parcels and other advertisements. You can also have your mail automatically forwarded by the postal services to your resort. If you can, forward your landline to your mobile number.
– Do not forget, before your departure, to properly close windows and shutters. Check the good condition of your locks and locks, take advice from professionals for these closures. It is important to “bring life” to your home. A neighbor or a friend can usefully come and open and close the shutters, turn on a few lights.
