This is the latest program developed by the general and artistic director Danièle de Fontenay, who will give up her place at the beginning of September to Angela Konrad, after more than 25 years at the helm of Usine C.

Among the shows that caught our attention was the visit to Montreal by South Korean artist, videographer and musician Jaha Coo. The latter, who has already conquered the audience of the Festival TransAmériques with Cuckoo and The History of Korean Western Theaterreturns with his show Lolling and Rolling, where he handles video images like a DJ behind his turntables. From January 24 to 26.

From 1er on February 4, Raoul Collectif returns to the stage of Usine C with his second creation, A ceremony. Here, text and music combine to form a show that is said to be poetic and contagiously energetic.

Another notable return is that of choreographer Dimitris Papaioannou, who offers a new creation entitled INK. Accompanied by performer Suka Horn, Papaioannou explores the frontiers of reality through the filter of horror and science fiction. From 1er to March 4.

In April, Brigitte Haentjens takes the stage by storm to present one of the most ambitious projects of her career, entitled Rome. This 6-hour show brings together adaptations of Shakespeare’s five Roman plays, namely The Rape of Lucretius, Coriolanus, Julius CaesarHASAnthony and Cleopatra and Titus Andronicus. Nearly 30 performers will perform, including Céline Bonnier, Marc Béland, Sylvie Drapeau and Sébastien Ricard. From April 5 to 9, from April 12 to 16 and from April 19 to 23.

Lighting designer, scenographer and director Cédric Delorme-Bouchard continues his exploration with the intriguing project The nave. Inspired by the piano works of Olivier Messiaen, this show brings together four pianists and nine performers around a black monolith. May 12, 13, 16 and 17.

Finally, Angela Konrad puts her talent as a director at the service of the words of Larry Tremblay with an adaptation of the novel Final table of lover, freely inspired by the life of the painter Francis Bacon. Benoît McGinnis and Samuël Côté will slip into the roles of Bacon and George Dyer. From May 18 to 21.

Note also the revivals of the shows Dog Rising by Clara Furey, Hieronymus Bosch: The Garden of Earthly Delights by Marie Chouinard and Feminist for Mena solo performed by Sophie Cadieux based on a text by Noémie de Lattre.
