Saturday July 23, a scene shocked in Seine-Saint-Denis, a wedding gave rise to an urban rodeo in the city center. Measures have been taken to combat this type of nuisance. The bride and groom will have to pay a deposit of 1,000 euros which will be returned after the wedding.

Cars running at full speed, in the city center, brushing past passers-by and representing a danger for them, these are the images that were shot on Saturday July 23 in Seine-Saint-Denis. “It’s not the first time that we have had these slippages in Saint-Denis, even if we have shown that we have zero tolerance for this phenomenon, so we find that it is rather on the decline”says Katy Bontinckfirst deputy mayor of the commune.

Saint-Denis is not the only town experiencing this kind of inconvenience. The municipalities of Versailles (Yvelines) and Pont-Sainte-Maxence (Oise) have also witnessed urban rodeos after several marriages. These processions give rise to infractions, such as failure to respect stop signs or use of the road in the wrong direction. The mayor of Pont-Sainte-Maxence was able to get the municipal police to act, who were able to distribute fines thanks to surveillance videos. In Poissy (Yvelines), it is as a preventive measure that the town hall intervenes, by asking for a deposit check of 1,000 euros, returned if no problem occurs. The measure seems to be working for the moment.
