Faced with the unprecedented outbreak of Covid-19 contaminations, the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, spoke urgently on Sunday, December 12, calling to an acceleration of the vaccination campaign, especially on the issue of the recall. “By the end of the year, all Britons aged 18 and over will be able to receive a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine”, relates Mathieu Boisseau.
The plan originally planned for January has been brought forward by four weeks. Almost 1 million doses could be administered each day. This would be, according to the British health authorities, the only way to protect the population against the Omicron variant. Added to this are the measures that had already been announced: “the return of teleworking, in effect from this Monday, December 13, the wearing of a mask again compulsory in shops and the daily test for seven days for all people who are in contact, even those who are double vaccinated”, concludes Mathieu Boisseau.
