two nurses injured after a knife attack in Reims

The aggression of the nurse took place within the premises of the hospital center of Reims (Marne). It is 1:30 p.m. when a man enters the changing rooms of the occupational medicine and health unit, which is located on the first floor of the establishment. He is armed with a knife and violently attacks two women. One of them is a medical secretary, she is 56 years old and her life is not in danger. The other victim is a 37-year-old nurse, she is seriously injured. His vital prognosis is engaged. The medical staff at the hospital center say they are upset.

The suspect suffers from psychiatric disorders

“As medical staff, it’s quite shocking. We are there to help people who are sick and to see that, we were all in shock”, says one of them. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. He then tried to flee. He still carried his knife with him. The suspect is 59 years old, he suffers from severe psychiatric disorders and has already been indicted for acts of aggravated violence.
