Two motorcyclists seriously injured in a collision in Sainte-Adèle

A collision between a motorcycle and a car left two seriously injured in Saint-Adèle, in the Laurentians, at the end of the day on Sunday.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. Sunday when a driver made a U-turn at kilometer 67, on Route 117, which crosses the municipality of Sainte-Adèle.

A man in his forties was driving the motorbike, while a woman in her fifties was behind him. Both were seriously injured in the impact. The driver is in critical condition and his life is in danger. The passenger also suffered major injuries, which would not affect her life, said Marythé Bolduc, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

Route 117 has been closed to allow the investigation to proceed. It should be reopened by Monday morning.
