two men die in an ultralight accident

In Seine-et-Marne, this Saturday August 20, two men died in the fall of a ULM, which had just taken off from the aerodrome of Meaux-Esbly. They are the pilot of the aircraft, 33 years old, and his 50-year-old passenger who was doing his first flight.

Shortly before 1 p.m., “in the take-off phase at a height of 50 to 60 meters, the microlight suddenly fell”, indicates the gendarmerie of Meaux. Both men died instantly. Shortly before the accident, a member of the group had also made a flight, with the same pilot and the same machine, without any problem. An investigation is opened to determine the causes of the accident.
