The emergency services were called shortly after 6:30 p.m. for a swerve on rue Frontenac (route 321). The circumstances of the accident remain to be determined by investigators, but alcohol and speed could be involved, advances the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
A blood sample was also taken from the driver.
Both he and the passenger were taken to hospital. There was no fear for the life of the driver, while the SQ could not immediately specify the state of health of the passenger. The latter was transferred a little later in the evening to a hospital center in the Montreal region.
