The facts occurred near the locality of Schoten, in the province of Antwerp (Belgium). Two people died and several were injured on Sunday April 10 in a French tourist coach accident on a motorway in northern Belgium, a police spokeswoman announced.
The bus is registered in France but the police were unable to immediately confirm that the victims, all on board the bus, were French, Belgian federal police spokeswoman Sandra Eyschen told AFP.
Several passengers were seriously injured in the accident, the circumstances of which are not known at this stage, according to the same source. The section of the highway where the accident occurred, towards Breda (Netherlands), was closed to traffic.
