Two armed assaults occurred Friday evening in the Plaza St-Hubert area of the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough. The investigation is ongoing and there is no threat for the lives of the two victims.
At around 10:30 p.m., a 911 call was received regarding a man stabbed at the corner of Jean-Talon East and Boyer Streets. On scene, patrol officers located a 26-year-old man injured in the upper body by a sharp object.
He was taken to hospital, but his life is not in danger.
Within minutes, a man showed up at a Montreal-area hospital with upper-body injuries caused by a sharp object. He was taken care of and his injuries are not life-threatening.
The second attack allegedly occurred on St-Hubert Street between Jean-Talon and Bélanger Streets.
The two scenes where the attacks took place are protected by investigators. For the moment, the Montreal Police Department (SPVM) cannot make a link between the two attacks.
The two victims are expected to be interviewed on Saturday and images from surveillance cameras in nearby businesses are expected to be consulted.
