The former minister, who was a presidential candidate, disputed allegations of war crimes against Russian soldiers on television. She then apologized and assures that she did not want to deny such actions.

Ségolène Royal expresses doubts about certain war crimes committed in Ukraine, in particular on BFMTV, where the former minister returns to the bombing of the Mariupol maternity hospital. “If there had been the slightest victim, the slightest baby with blood, in the age of cell phones, we would have had them”, she says. This bombardment, like many other war crimes, was documented by journalists on the spot, testimonies as well as photos and videos. The reaction of Ségolène Royal therefore caused an outcry among politicians and on social networks.
