The Russian people are devastated following a terrorist attack that occurred on the evening of Friday March 22, near Moscow. Solidarity is taking over, including long queues to donate blood.
Muscovites gathered in long queues on Saturday March 23 to donate blood. The least thing they could do, they say, given the scale of the tragedy. “I help as much as I can. Anyone can find themselves in this kind of situation.” confides a man. The scene of the attack is now cordoned off, but in the morning, some people managed to lay flowers. Advertising billboards in the capital have been replaced by candles.
Flower drops in several cities
Tributes have multiplied in Russia, with flower laying in several cities. On the origin of the attack, the points of view of the people met by France Télévisions are varied. “We have enemies. They’re the ones who did it.”, thinks a woman. For his part, a man dares “an analogy with the attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline“.”Or an act of madness“, he says. In Saint Petersburg (Russia), the flags are at half mast.
