The films received on this occasion will be presented during a virtual evening on Friday, February 25. This evening will also mark the 23and anniversary of the founding of Kino, an organization born in Montreal in 1999 and now present in some thirty countries around the world.

“Jean-Marc Vallée had sponsored a production block of the Kino Kabaret of Montreal where he had generously shared his cinematographic approach to inspire the participating Kinoïtes. His testimony from the time is still a source of inspiration,” the organization said in a press release.

Tribute films can take different forms: fiction, documentary, testimony, fan film, etc. To participate, go to the Kino Montréal web page (kinomontreal.com) and read the article dedicated to Mr. Vallée.

Candidate films must be submitted by February 23 at 11:59 p.m.

Remember that Jean-Marc Vallée died on Christmas Eve at only 58 years old.
