New Year’s Eve is already off to a very bad start for those who had planned to take the Eurostar, to or from London. All trains were canceled on Saturday December 30 due to flooding.

The eyes riveted on thes phones, looking for a last minute cancellation to cross the Channel after a long wait. Thousands of travelers learned over the hours, this Saturday, September 30, that all Eurostars for the day are canceled, and consequently theirs end-of-year celebrations because Sunday trains, if they run, are all full.

A Eurostar strike ten days ago

The explanation for this total traffic stoppage lies around thirty kilometers east of London (United Kingdom), under the train station.Ebbsfleet. A flood has rushed into a railway tunnel, the result of the rains which have been hitting England for ten days. A stream is now present on the rails.
