If you were to travel by train this Monday, January 24, you are advised to reschedule your trip. The New-Aquitaine signalmen of the SNCF, who are fighting to preserve their achievements, had already mobilized on Monday December 13, filed a notice which runs until Tuesday January 25 at 8 a.m.
No TGV, very few Intercités because of the strike
Consequence: there are major disruptions everywhere in France, so 85% of TGVs between Paris and Bordeaux are canceled. But also, according to SNCF, no TGV will run south of Bordeaux, towards Hendaye and Toulouse. With regard to the Intercités, the service will also be “very disturbed” with only two round trips between Toulouse and Marseille on the Bordeaux-Marseille line, two Toulouse-Bayonne round trips. On the other hand, the Paris-Orléans-Limoges-Toulouse train and the Paris-Rodez/Toulouse and Paris-Latour de Carol/Lourdes night trains will run normally, again according to the SNCF spokesperson.
All traffic info live on France Bleu Occitanie and on the SNCF website.
Traffic will also be very low at regional level on the TER lines of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and no substitute buses will be put in place. “Travellers are invited to postpone their trips”, warns the regional network on its Twitter account.
TER traffic disrupted due to covid
In addition, due to the increase in staff absences linked to covid, lio traffic is disrupted in Occitanie until Wednesday January 26 on the Toulouse-Boussens / Toulouse-Brive / Toulouse-Auch / Toulouse-Rodez lines. The details are here.
