Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne spoke on behalf of the school, the ban if possible gas boilers by 2026. 11 million households would be affected, which arouses the anger of professionals.
Will gas heating soon be a thing of the past? It is the will of the government to ban the sale of polluting boilers by 2026. The announcement does not leave consumers indifferent. “We are more aware of what ecology is (…) as a consumer, we undergo everything we are told”, says one of them. The transition is already accelerating. Tuesday, June 6 in the morning, these workers equip the house with a pellet boiler, which is a 100% renewable energy.
The building responsible for 18% of greenhouse gas emissions
In 2018, 85% of the boilers installed by Desplebains Foussette were gas-fired, compared to 25% today. But 100% renewable is not quickly possible according to this heating engineer. “There are places where you can’t put anything other than gas (…) you also have to rely on insulation before the turn. There should be no loss”, explains Thomas Dabilly. The building sector is responsible for 18% of greenhouse gas emissions.
