Touring Saint-Vincent: a grand cru with 30,000 visitors

A successful comeback fora Saint-Vincent rotating ! The winegrowers’ festival brought together more than 30,000 visitors this Saturday, March 19, 2022 south of Beaune (Côte-d’Or), in the 3 villages of Puligny Montrachet, Blagny and Body.

The craze was at the rendezvous around the tasting cellars of red and white wines of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation. The day was also marked by a great mass and a parade, around the 4 terrestrial elements. Air in Blagny, fire in Corpeau, water and earth in Puligny-Montrachet.

In Puligny-Montrachet, visitors came, for example, to taste grands crus at Corinne Chavy, a winegrower who is part of the organizing committee. Visitors particularly tore themselves tasting kits with Puligny-Montrachet white wine, considered “like the best white wine in the world” by Corinne Chavy.

“There were people all day. People had already gathered well before the opening of the vaults.” Corinne Chavy

This Saturday, the municipality of Puligny-Montrachet perpetuated its great tradition after two editions of the Saint-Vincent Tournante organized in 1961 and 1991.

Labeled “St. Vincent Rotating 2021”, the 2022 edition continues this Sunday, March 19. The opening of the tasting cellars is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day will be punctuated by musical entertainment, brass bands, street artists and traveling shows in the streets of the 3 Côte-d’Oriens villages.
