Tonino’s | An Italian sandwich shop in Ahuntsic

Tonino’s does not have a window on a neighborhood shopping street like Fleury, but on Henri-Bourassa Boulevard where there is work to build a bike path.

You don’t stop at the Italian canteen by chance, but as soon as you take a bite of its sandwiches, you know you’ll be back, whether to eat there or by the water at Nicolas-Viel Park, located nearby.

Owner Anthony Boxell makes his own sauces, including pistachio aioli that pairs beautifully with the mortadella sandwich (La Nonna) and salty melon jam that enhances the prosciutto sandwich (La Mamma). There are several other sandwiches on the menu (breaded chicken, meatballs, steak, turkey…) with fresh bread daily from the San Pietro bakery.

Although the portions are generous, you can easily be tempted by the arancini, cannolis and homemade pasta.

Finally, note that Tonino’s offers a catering service.
