Actor Tom Hanks made a splash last week in Pittsburgh when he once again crashed a young woman’s wedding. An unforgettable moment for the bride who did not hide her happiness at the sight of the actor of Forrest Gump !
The Oscar-winning comedian, 65, joined the party to take some outdoor photos on the patio of the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh where the ceremony was held last Saturday. The bride in question, who is named Grace Gwaltney, revealed that she was very surprised to see the star of Alone in the world land at his wedding. “He was there saying ‘Hey! I am Tom Hanks. I would like to take pictures with you’ and I immediately froze in place looking everywhere. I did not know what to do“said the bride.
The photographer of the event Rachel Rowland declared to Pittsburgh Post Gazette that the band had”started screaming and was pretty shocked“at the time of the encounter.”We were all lost“ added the photographer, “the bridesmaids got out of the limo with him and he posed for pictures and warmly congratulated everyone, then as quickly as he arrived he left. It was so cute and funny.“
The bride finally declared to have fallen in love with the actor and particularly his voice: “After you see him, you start to hear him and then he would start saying things like ‘you look beautiful, I’m so happy for you’. He even spoke in my ear and I thought I was in Toy Story.“The young woman was so overwhelmed by the meeting, that she couldn’t resist telling her husband Luke just before the ceremony which took place at Carnegie Music Hall.We were just before the ceremony when we prayed holding hands, back to back so that we wouldn’t see each other. And I let go ‘Luke, I just met Tom Hanks‘” explained the young woman, who had the surprise of her life!
