Tom Brady has been on vacation for two weeks now. Asked if he was thinking of retiring, the 45-year-old quarterback took no detour.
Brady is officially free as the air. In all likelihood, the loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs was his last game as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The question now is whether he will play for a third team or immediately grab the mic on the Fox Sports Network.
In his podcast let’s go, airing Monday night, Brady was asked by his co-host Jim Gray if he had made up his mind on his future. After all, that’s the question on everyone’s lips.
“If I knew what to do, I would have done it already,” Brady replied without hesitation, punctuating his answer twice with an English patois beginning with the same letter as the word farandole. In other words, if the seven-time Super Bowl champion had made a decision, he would have announced it.
“I’m going one day at a time. Thanks for asking,” he added in conclusion.
Almost a year ago to the day, Brady announced his retirement before retracting a few weeks later to sign a one-season contract with the Bucs.
