To see on the Extra of ICI Tou.TV and Club Illico

What should you see on the ICI Tou.TV and Club Illico Extra? The Press and its journalists suggest some ideas.

Megantic (Illico Club)

Megantic does not unfold like a highly touted series at the Chicago Fire Or Station 19. It’s a lot more substantial and sensitive as a proposal. The scenario of Megantic focuses on a core of Méganticois who were at the heart of this appalling railway tragedy. How is their life before, during and two months after the train accident? That’s where Megantic brings us: into the capsized daily life of ordinary people, told with humanity and realism. The special effects are particularly successful, nothing seems cheap in this high quality miniseries.

Hugo Dumas

babylon (Illico Club)

Cinephiles keen on the history of cinema will certainly take pleasure in associating the various characters with the true craftsmen who inspired them, but this abundance ends up leaving a general impression of an improbable catch-all in which too many people participate. Fortunately, babylon (Babylon in French version) is overtaken by a very moving last act, during which the magic of cinema regains its rights.

Marc-Andre Lussier

About Anthony (Illico Club)

About Anthony, it’s charming, funny and moving. It’s good to see characters on TV guided by good intentions, who tame each other and build healthy and caring relationships. Really, we watch the show, we laugh and we say to ourselves: yes, it still exists, people who have their hearts in the right place.

Plan B, season 4 (Extra from Tou.tv)

If Pier-Luc Funk doesn’t land in the non-gendered acting categories at the upcoming Gemini Awards gala, Houston, we have a problem. The 28-year-old actor delivers a stunning performance in the fourth season of the excellent miniseries Plan B. From one episode to another, the actor goes from a finished asshole to an adult in distress that we would like to hug.

Eyes closed (Extra from Tou.tv)

Despite deceptive appearances, Eyes closed does not revisit a classic case of a pedophile priest who attacks teenagers and who confesses his sins 30 years later. The scenario digs deeper into a painful mourning. Eyes closed only has six one-hour episodes and will not have a sequel. In this tsunami of TV series that invades us, it feels good to treat yourself to a little fast rather than engage in a teleromantic relationship of five or seven years, doesn’t it?
