To see in a theater near you

With the proliferation of venues, art lovers living far from cultural metropolises are now spoiled for choice when it comes to shows. The cream of Montreal and Quebec plays are traveling more than ever on the road, following the example of comedians and singing stars.

Created in Montreal or Quebec, presented everywhere

Many plays presented recently in Montreal will be presented elsewhere in Quebec by the summer. This is particularly the case of Polytechnic Project, You are animal, The misanthrope, Rose and the machine, Zero And The Turing machine. The room Manikanetish, presented in March 2023 at Duceppe, will be shown in around twenty cities, including Pessamit and Sept-Îles. As for the theatrical ball Pissing while standing without lifting your skirt, he will return to the Center du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui in April before visiting Quebec, Rimouski and Gaspé. The shows originally created in the Quebec capital are not left out. We only have to think of the documentary theater show Milk run or even solos Loving each other well (defended by Ariel Charest) or even Mauritiusa little gem signed and performed by Anne-Marie Olivier, who will also spread across the province.

The group Salebarbes resumes its tour in February.

Hardly any records are sold anymore, but there will be action on stages throughout the province. Salebarbes resumes its already triumphant tour in February, which is due to end in December 2024 at the Videotron Center in Quebec. Alexandra Stréliski will spend most of the year in Quebec, even if her career abroad is flourishing. Émile Bilodeau, Philippe Brach, Sara Dufour and Isabelle Boulay will also travel the province. Karkwa, whose return was expected to be temporary, announced concerts in several cities in March. Finally, remember that a show dedicated to the songs of Nicole Martin will also be on tour in many regions of Quebec.

Rosalie Vaillancourt presents MILF on April 9 at Gesù.

The art of giving your comedy show a good title is a challenge that has seen many perish. Let us salute the poetry of the titles of three tours to be seen throughout Quebec, the Montreal premieres of which will take place this winter: Imperfect happiness… and other tutti quanti of life by veteran Mario Jean (March 5 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve), No need to add sauce of the (not so) newcomer Neev (March 26 at the Olympia) and Ahh Caramel… by the kind Martin Vachon (May 7 at the Olympia). Speaking of poets: Mike Ward returns to the stage with Modest (premiere at Club Soda on April 10) and Rosalie Vaillancourt with MILF (premiere on April 9 at Gesù).
