To promote Corrèze products, farmers have a snack with holidaymakers on the A20

A nice surprise awaited holidaymakers at the Puy de Grace rest area, on the A20, this Saturday, July 30. FDSEA 19 farmers are renewing their operation to promote Corrèze agriculture. They installed tables and plancha for offer travelers a tasting of local products : apple juice, milk, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, milk-fed veal and Limousin beef. “We wanted to reach as many people as possible, that’s why we chose the crossover weekend“, explains Marie-France Forest, general secretary of the FDSEA 19, “and then, it’s the good surprise. Vacationers think of stopping at an area where there is only a pee break and finally, they can leave with a full stomach“.

This is the case of Malik, who is going on vacation to the Dordogne with his family: “We especially wanted to avoid the world of large motorway rest areas and finally, I will be able to improve my picnic with quality products. It’s nice this kind of animation.” Vacationers even leave with cooking recipes and games to occupy children by car.

The other objective of the FDSEA 19 is also to discuss with holidaymakers and answer their questions. In particular concerning animal welfare or the remuneration of farmers. The opportunity also to recall that behind these products, there are farmers who work, “before, everyone had a close farmer or farmer and today that is lost, so we want to recreate a link. That also reminds us that farmers are essential on a daily basis. Morning, noon, evening… we all need to eat and agriculture is there to feed people“explains Marie-France Forest.
