TNM | The Lysis piece postponed again

In April 2020, Lysis was one of the first productions to fall under the ax of the closure of theaters. And again: the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde announced on Wednesday that this rereading of the Lysistrata by Aristophanes, signed Fanny Britt and Alexia Bürger, must be postponed until Greek calendars.

Faced with the meteoric rise in COVID-19 cases, the Quebec government ordered on December 20 the closure of all performance venues, for an indefinite period.

The play, which features Bénédicte Décary, was to be performed from January 11 to February 5. “The artistic direction will assess the possibility of postponing the show to a later season,” said a statement.

A decision on the holding of Three sisters by Chekhov, which is due to be presented from February 17 to March 5 in a production by René Richard Cyr, will be released at the beginning of next month.
