Three vehicles identified at a business targeted by arson

Three vehicles identified at a restaurant now closed were reduced to scrap metal by an arson attack on the night of Friday to Saturday in the Saint-Michel district, in Montreal.

Around 1 a.m., the vehicles were targeted near the old business located on Henri-Bourassa Boulevard, near Rancourt Street. The firefighters dispatched to the scene were able to quickly control the fire, but the three vehicles are a total loss, confirmed the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Caroline Chèvrefils.

No incendiary objects and no suspects were found at the scene. The rest of one of the vehicles was seized by the SPVM to be appraised. The investigation was transferred to the police department’s arson section.
