Three men aged 20 to 23 were arrested on Tuesday June 18 and will be tried in October for the cyberharassment of a streamer, a young woman specializing in broadcasting live videos on social networks, franceinfo learned on Monday June 24 from consistent sources.

In November 2021, “Ultia”pseudonym of this young woman with 275,000 subscribers on the Twitch platform, participated in a “marathon” video game charity, the Z-Event. She had questioned another streamer live, “Inoxtag” (more than 10 million subscribers today) for sexist comments made online about another streamer. The young man had apologized; “Ultia”, she had received death threats and had been the target of rape calls. In the months that followed, the 27-year-old young woman had repeatedly expressed waves of hatred, and had decided to file a complaint.

Last week, as part of an investigation opened by the national center for the fight against online hatred (PNLH) of the Paris prosecutor’s office and entrusted to the gendarmes of the office for the fight against crimes against humanity and crimes of hatred (OCLCH), three suspects were arrested in Aube, Meuse and Seine-Saint-Denis. Requested by franceinfo, the prosecution specifies that these suspects aged 20, 22 and 23 will be tried by the criminal court in October. They face a sentence of 2 years’ imprisonment and a fine of 30,000 euros.
