three players from FC Girondins de Bordeaux selected for the French women’s team

The coach of the French women’s football team has announced the names of three players from FC Girondins de Bordeaux, this Thursday, August 25. Midfielder Ella Palis and the two goalkeepers, Mylène Chavas and Justine Lerond, will take part in the final qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup on September 2 and 6, 2022.

The France team is already qualified for the next World Cup but has yet to play two matches, in Estonia on September 2 and against Greece, in Sedan, four days later. The 2023 World Cup will be played in Australia and New Zealand

Mylène Chavas and the new Girondin recruit Justine Lerond will replace Pauline Peyraud-Magnin as goalkeeper, as during the last Euro. Midfielder Ella Palis is also back on Corinne Deacon’s list after proving herself at the Euro last July.
