A Quebec doctor charged in the death of a patient in Ontario now faces three other charges of first degree murder.
The Ontario Provincial Police say the new charges against Dr. Brian Nadler relate to the deaths of Claire Briere, 80, Lorraine Lalande, 79, and Judith Lungulescu, 93.
Police declined to provide further details, including when and where the three died, citing the ongoing investigation.
Brian Nadler was originally charged with first degree murder in March 2021 in connection with the death of 89-year-old Albert Poidinger at Hawkesbury General Hospital.
Police said at the time that they were investigating the doctor in connection with several other deaths at the hospital.
Brian Nadler was released on bail in July last year and arrested on Wednesday on new charges.
Brian Nadler’s attorney, Brian Greenspan, previously said his client continued to maintain his innocence. He did not immediately respond to a request to comment on the case Wednesday.
