three neonatal intensive care beds will close at the hospital

From Monday, the neonatal department in Boulogne-sur-Mer will have three fewer beds. The Boulogne-sur-Mer hospital center announced that a reorganization of the pediatric and neonatal department was underway.

A lack of pediatricians

In a press release the CHB specifies that this decision is taken because of a “insufficient number of pediatricians“. From Saturday, thepediatric medical emergency activity will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.. Pediatric surgical emergencies are maintained.

From Monday, when the neonatal intensive care beds will be closed, the relay will be provided by the neonatal resuscitation service of the Calais Hospital Center.

A press conference will take place this Friday at 11 am to detail this reorganization.
