(Houston) Two soldiers and a border agent died Friday after the helicopter they were carrying out a mission on the border between Mexico and the United States crashed, the American army announced.
“A UH-72 Lakota helicopter assigned to the federal southwest border support mission crashed […] while conducting flight operations near Rio Grande City, Texas,” details the Army press release.
“Two soldiers and a US Border Patrol agent were killed. Another soldier was injured […] The causes of the accident are under investigation,” according to the same document.
The incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. local time (21:50 GMT).
