“The passage of a weather system over part of Quebec continues to leave heavy snow on the wires. This breaks branches and trees which come into contact with the electrical network, leading to power outages,” Hydro-Québec declared on its website, specifying that teams are being moved from less affected regions “in order to ‘accelerate the restoration of service’.
Here are the most affected regions:
Montérégie: 12,635 customers
Estrie: 11,725 customers
Centre-du-Québec: 2771 customers
Outaouais: 1667 customers
Laurentians: 443 clients
Despite the difficult weather conditions, Hydro-Québec agents have been working since Monday morning to resolve the problems inherent to the approximately 430 interruptions in the province.
