Thomas Ménage, deputy for Loiret and spokesperson for the National Rally (RN) group in the National Assembly, denounced Sunday November 19 in Political issues on France Inter “gossip and rumours” about David Rachline, RN mayor of Fréjus (Var), profiled in the book by Camille Vigogne Le Coat, Raptors, published by Les Arènes. After a two-year investigation, the journalist points out in particular the excessive lifestyle of the mayor of Fréjus and the racism expressed in an uninhibited manner within the town hall.

“If there is something, justice must seize it”

“Justice has not been seized, no one is seized. Today it is only gossip from political opponents of David Rachline”, reacted Thomas Ménage. David Rachline filed a complaint on behalf of the municipality and in his personal capacity. “I respect the presumption of innocence of Mr. Dupond-Moretti even though he is worried. I respect that of Mr. Dussopt even though he is worried by the justice system. Mr. Rachline is not worried and that is absolutely today only gossip, rumors”, insisted Thomas Ménage.

“If there is something, justice must be seized. There must be a judgment. Until proven otherwise, David Rachline is innocent. He has our support. And the inhabitants of Fréjus support him since he was re-elected very largely”he clarified.
