The conclusion of this year 2021 has a better flavor than the beginning for Guillaume Durand. Very active on Twitter, the journalist had revealed last May to have had health problems which prevented him from taking his place at the head of the morning show of Radio Classique (where he has been present since 2008, editor’s note). “Life sometimes reserves, in the field of health, stray bullets from which we recover with rest. No drama. I come back quickly. I miss the team, the listeners of course!”, had indicated the one who had left his place to Dimitri Pavlenko.

But subsequently his absence was prolonged and we now know for what reason!

This Friday, December 24, the former host of Durand at night on TF1 or even Campus on France 2 gave the news on social media, about what has happened to him over the past few months. “Thank you science / medicine. First jogging after a hell of cancer operated for 10 hours on June 25. Then chemo and radio followed by a good Covid”, he confided in all transparency before making an announcement that filled his fans with joy. “I will find Radio Classique at the start of the school year”, the 69-year-old continued. “Take fear by the hand and live. Caution at Christmas”.

The morning that he hosted will remain in the hands of his joker Renaud Blanc. “The morning remains for the youth”, he had mentioned.

Last August, Jean-Francis Pécresse, the boss of the station, told the Parisian : “Guillaume remains in the Radio Classique family and he will join us later in the season at a place that we will determine together.“.
