This Tuesday, June 21 is not only the day of the music or summer festival. For fans of Koh Lanta, it is also the big day to find out who from Géraldine, François, Jean-Charles or even Bastien will win the adventure after long weeks of suspense.
On the occasion of the end of this season, Alexia Laroche-Joubert returned to several points of the adventure, in particular the presence of François accused of manslaughter in the columns of the Parisian.
Remember, the production had broken the silence about this scandal and the choice not to cut the man in the editingat the microphone of Telepro last March. “Nothing has been changed in the editing. Especially since we’ve delivered a lot of shows already. There’s no reason to do that. We have justice, it’s not because you are indicted that you are guilty. That does not even mean that you will remain indicted because the investigation is not even finished (…) We are not here to judge in the place of justice so we haven’t changed anything. she explained.
As a reminder, François is the finalist firefighter indicted “for manslaughter“after the death of a firefighter during a forest fire in 2016 in Gabian (34). He would be one of the members of the Departmental Fire and Decours Service (SDIS) of Hérault and the colonel suspected having “gave the troops inappropriate, sometimes contradictory orders, and provided insufficient training and obsolete equipment”. Currently, they are all presumed innocent. “It is a complex situation. There is a presumption of innocence. On our side, we were not aware. On the human aspect, I understand that it can affect families. I spoke about it with François, he also understands it“ thus underlined Alexia Laroche-Joubert.
For the lawyer for the victims, Luc Abratkiewicz, in “glorifying one of its executives in a program where risk is only a game, the SDIS displays its contempt for the victims”. The firefighters have also disapproved of its presence in the program. It remains to be seen whether he will win the adventure.
