Even if she only takes on the almost “unofficial” role of First Lady, Brigitte Macron is sometimes called upon to comment on the measures taken by the government. A few days after speaking on the pension reform, the wife of the Head of State relaunched a debate which will be discussed tomorrow Thursday January 19 in the National Assembly. In an interview published Wednesday, January 11 by The Parisianthe former French teacher said she was in favor of wearing a school uniform.
“I wore the uniform as a student: fifteen years of navy blue skirt, navy blue sweater. And I lived it well. It erases the differences, you save time – it’s time-consuming to choose how to dress in the morning – and money – compared to brands”she said, responding to seven readers of the daily. “So I’m for wearing a school uniform, but with a simple and not sad outfit”she concluded.
Emmanuel Macron pushes a big rant against his wife Brigitte
But obviously this outing on the wearing of the uniform did not really please her husband. Indeed, according to the Canard enchaîné, on newsstands this Wednesday, January 18, the President of the Republic would have piqued a great anger when he discovered the words of his wife. “You have to stop with this madness“, he would have dropped. And the main concerned had also perhaps expected such a reaction from her husband since after the interview granted to the Parisian, the latter would have come out: “I may have released things that I shouldn’t have released“.
