Thirteen police officers and a gendarme were injured during the rallies in front of two barracks in Furiani near Bastia and in Ajaccio, in Corsica, franceinfo learned from a police source on Monday March 28 morning. The majority of the injured police officers were injured in front of the Aspretto barracks in Ajaccio. Firefighters told AFP that some demonstrators had been slightly injured in Bastia.

Several hundred people gathered in front of the barracks of Aspretto and especially in front of the CRS cantonment camp of Furiani on Sunday because they accuse the CRS of Furiani of having sung The Marseillaise during Yvan Colonna’s funeral on Friday. A video showing the CRS singing was posted on Twitter in particular by the sister of Yvan Colonna.

franceinfo was able to confirm from police sources that a barbecue had been organized in this CRS cantonment, but that it had no connection with the funeral of the Corsican nationalist.

This Monday morning, a union source explains to franceinfo that the CRS have a habit, during their missions, of organizing a meal on non-working days, often accompanied by songs including The Marseillaise.
